  Proxies - And How to Load Them Into 5 Specific Programs.       By reptile.


I will attempt to cover how to load proxys into various programs...If
you want more specific information about proxys, see the other essays in the
Manuscript section, or the below links.  It is not my intention to cover
proxys per se, rather how to find them, if they're anonymous and then loading
them into 5 widely used cracking programs.

Once you find a proxy of your choice you need to check that it's anonymous.

If using Netscape follow these steps:

Go to prefrences/advanced/proxys/manual proxy configuration/view and
input your proxy address (so your surfing with a proxy).  You can check to
see if it is anonymous at:  http://tamos.com/bin/proxy.cgi  If it's anonymous
it will say "Proxy Not Detected" which is what you want.

If using Internet Explorer follow these steps:

Go to View/Internet Options/Connection and input your proxy address (so your
surfing with a proxy).  You can check to see if it is anonymous at:
http://tamos.com/bin/proxy.cgi  If it's anonymous it will say "Proxy Not
Detected" which is what you want.

You must put the same proxy information into your browser AND whichever
cracking program you choose.  If you do not, you will not be anonymous when
running the program.  MAKE SURE YOU ARE ANONYMOUS!!!

1.  AccessDiver.  Start the program, and click on the options tab.  Check the
box that says Proxy/Firewall and enter your anonymous proxy (server) and port
number.  That's all there is to it.

2.  HackerTTP.  Start the program, and goto Options/Proxy Setup.  Enter your
anonymous proxy (server) and port number.  That's all there is to it.

3.  Webcracker.  Start the program, and under Tools, Options check the box
that says Use Proxy Settings and enter your anonymous proxy (server)and port
number.  That's all there is to it.

4.  WWWhack.  Start the program, and goto Options/Proxy Setup.  Enter your
anonymous proxy (server) and port number.  That's all there is to it.

5.  EntryLE.  Start the program, and goto File/Use HTTP proxy server.  Enter
your anonymous proxy (server) and port number.  That's all there is to it.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ANONYMOUS!!! I can't stress this enough.

All of these programs, with the exception of WWWhack, have spaces for a user
name and password where you enter your proxy address.  Leave these blank
unless you know for sure that you're using a proxy that requires them.

That is all that is necessary to run these programs with an anonymous proxy.
